Visitation Home is a Catholic community (open to all faiths) where people with developmental disabilities live together as family.  We recognize our responsibility to grow in a spirit of openness, simplicity, and love through meaningful relationships. It is through these relationships that we discover each other's gifts and the inherent dignity of each individual.

"Our experience with the Visitation Home has been nothing short of amazing, and Margaret’s journey there has been truly fulfilling. Over the past 16 years, she has grown in so many ways—personally, socially, and educationally. The joy she feels living at the Visitation Home is just as evident now as it was when she first arrived.

The love and camaraderie between Margaret and her roommates, as well as the care and support from the caregivers, create a welcoming and warm environment. This sense of community extends beyond just the residents—it is felt by families and is shared amongst everyone involved.

We truly feel that Margaret’s time at the Visitation Home has been a Blessing, one for which we will always be grateful. Every visit, whether picking her up or dropping her off, has been a delightful experience for me as well. The positivity and care provided by the staff make every interaction a joy.

"We wanted to take a moment to share a special update about our beloved cousin, Jonathan. This past year has been a challenging one for him, as he faced the heartbreaking loss of his mom. Through it all, Jonathan has shown incredible strength and resilience. His journey has been one of growth, healing, and newfound joy — and much of that is thanks to the wonderful community at Visitation Home.

      Visitation Home isn’t just a place to live; it’s a true family. The warmth, compassion, and support that surround Jonathan each day have made a world of difference. Since settling in, we’ve seen remarkable changes. His anxiety has lessened significantly, and he’s blossomed into a more confident, relaxed version of himself. Conversations that once may have felt overwhelming now come with ease. He’s more engaged, sharing stories, laughter, and smiles with those around him.. Jonathan’s joy is contagious and we believe the nurturing environment at Visitation Home has provided him with the security and encouragement he needed to thrive.

     We are endlessly grateful for this incredible place that Jonathan now calls home. It’s a space where kindness leads, where every individual is valued, and where community means everything. For all who have supported Jonathan on this journey, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your love and encouragement have been a constant source of strength.

"Visitation Home became Lynn's home over twenty years ago. We both feel it was divine intervention for Lynn to be welcomed into a most blessed and loving home. Denise, her family, and the Visitation Home staff and volunteers all have the warmest and most loving hearts, and we are forever grateful for all they do to help Lynn. We also know that Lynn warms their hearts as well. When Lynn first moved to Visitation Home, there was something that we observed that reassured us that Lynn was now in the perfect home. Her personality completely changed. She is now so very happy and more talkative when we visit or talk on the phone. We are at ease knowing Lynn is happy and peaceful.
